Tours Special Tours Tsam Dance Festival Trip 27 Sep

Price: ( 3 Days )

Tsam is a Buddhist ritual with lively masked and costumed dances associated with some sects of Tibetan Buddhisms. The dances are accompanied by music played by monks using traditional Tibetan instruments. The dances often offer moral instruction relating to compassion for sentient beings and are held to bring merit to all who perceive them. The first Tsam in Mongolia was performed at the Erdenezuu Monastery in 1786.

From its inception, our company supports the activities of the Amarbayasgalant monastery. This monastery has around 40 monks. Of the monks 80% are children 8- to 12-years-old.
